Mumbai: Driven out by wife, man allowed into house after 6-yr stay in hotel

The Bombay high court has allowed a man to stay in his own two-bedroom house, six years after he was allegedly driven out by his wife and her relatives and forced to stay in a hotel in Mumbai. Justice FM Reis and justice VM Kanade, in a recent order, ruled the husband would stay in one bedroom, while the wife would live in the other in the 700 sq ft flat in suburban Bandra.

Comptroller and auditor general (CAG) Vinod Rai on Tuesday attacked former lead auditor RP Singh for disowning the report on 2G spectrum allocation on "afterthought" and observed that loyalty to profession should be maintained even after retirement. "There is a certain professional integrity that all of us must have," Rai said. "So, when we are on our jobs, it is not fair for us to fulfil our professional duties and then as an afterthought post-retirement repudiate all that and go back on it."

Salman Khan, Aamir Khan may do Andaz Apna Apna sequel

The sequel to the hit 1994 comedy, Andaz Apna Apna, will go on the floor in the third week of December. The makers are trying to get the original actors — Aamir and Salman — back for the film. “We’ll discuss the project with Aamir and Salman. It’ll be great if that works out. Otherwise, we’ll sign up other actors,” producer Vinay Kumar Sinha told a Mumbai tabloid
