Traffic on the busy Delhi-Agra highway remained disrupted for about two hours on Thursday as residents held massive protests after a man was murdered in Palwal on Wednesday. Three persons have been arrested for the murder.

The protesters also resorted to stone-pelting, in which some vehicles got damaged. A strong contingent of police force was deployed to clear the highway.

However, the situation could be brought under control only after senior police and administration officers visited the spot and assured the protesters of taking strict action against the accused. One Satish was allegedly murdered when he had gone out on his motorcycle to bring his wife, who works as domestic maid in a nearby house.
