Narendra Modi pays tribute to Veer Savarkar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid tributes to freedom fighter Veer Savarkar on his 131st birth anniversary.

"Tributes to Veer Savarkar on his birth anniversary. We remember and salute his tireless efforts towards the regeneration of our motherland," Modi said in a tweet.

Modi added: "Veer Savarkar is remembered as a prolific writer, thinker, poet and a social reformer. Leaving for parliament to pay tributes to Veer Savarkar."
