Senior journalist Arnab Goswami resigned on Tuesday as the editor-in-chief of Times Now.
According to reports he announced his decision during an editorial meeting in which a select group of reporters and editors were present.
Since Times Now’s launch in 2006, Goswami had led the channel for more than nine years. His debate show ‘The Newshour’ and interview segment ‘Frankly Speaking with Arnab’ were widely popular.
Though Goswami does not have a personal account on Twitter, he became the social media platform’s top trend just minutes after news about his resignation broke.
