NCW opposes center's move of lowering age

National Commission for Women has strongly opposed the move of lowering age of consensual sex from 18 to 16. Its member Charu Wali Khanna, who was conducting a workshop to sensitise cops on violence against women at police training center in Karnal, said that the center was keen to pursue the Bill which is both damaging and illogical.

No relief yet for CBI director Ranjit Sinha in the guest list controversy, the Supreme Court has sought the assistance of  the Special Public Prosecutor in the 2G case.
