Delhi: Fire breaks out near Connaught Place

A fire broke out at railway guest house situated close to Connaught Place in the heart of the national capital on Saturday evening but there was no report of casualty or injury.

Some electronic equipment, furniture and a few files were gutted in the fire, a police official said adding the cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.

According to a fire department official, they got a call about a fire at 6:50 PM after which twelve fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames.

The building was completely evacuated soon after the blaze which was doused within an hour.

The blaze started in the guest house on the second floor of the building in Railway Colony located near Shankar Market area in Connaught Place area.
