Geetika Sharma was required to report to her employer, former Haryana minister Gopal Goyal Kanda, who she accused of harassing her in the suicide note, every day after work, a Delhi court was told Monday.

The Delhi Police brought to light the "special clause" in the appointment letter of the 23-year-old, who killed herself on August 5, to back the claim that Kanda, who is on the run and moved the Delhi high court for anticipatory bail, used to harass the former airhostess.

Sharma "has to report to the managing director (Kanda) on each and every day after work", the clause reads.

"In January 2011, Geetika joined the company as a director without any shareholding in the company. One of the service conditions was that she would report to the MD every day in the evening hours," additional public prosecutor Rajiv Mohan said.

The letter was drawn up in January 2011, when Sharma rejoined the MDLR group as a director, he said.

The letter, sources said, was issued by MDLR HR manager Aruna Chadha, a co-accused in the case. She was arrested on August 8.

Kanda's counsel KTS Tulsi refused comment.
