Ponty Chadha and Hardeep, who had had an alleged property dispute, were killed in the shootout at a Chhattarpur farmhouse in South Delhi.

The over 1,000-page chargesheet was filed in the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mukesh Kumar, who had on Friday pulled up the police for their failure to fulfill their assurance of filing the document by February 15.

The police have named Namdhari and 21 others for various offences including murder, attempt to murder, conspiracy, kidnapping, illegal confinement, trespass and destruction of evidence under the Indian Penal Code. The accused have also been chargesheeted under certain provisions of the Arms Act.

A copy of the chargesheet, which listed out 110 prosecution witnesses, was provided to all the parties in the case. Of 22 accused, the crime branch has arrested Namdhari, his PSO Sachin Tyagi and nine others for their alleged role in the case.

The chargesheet has also named Ponty as an accused and "main conspirator" along with Hardeep, as he had reached the place of incident in accordance with his "well-hatched conspiracy" with Namdhari to take over the possession of the disputed farm house number 42.

The chargesheet also mentioned the sequence of events on the fateful day.

It said that Ponty and Namdhari had conspired to take over the farm house from the possession of Hardeep. Hardeep had arrived at the scene when Ponty's men were locking the gate after evicting the occupants of the farm house.

Hardeep fired at the man who was locking the gate and also at Ponty. In return, Namdhari and his PSO shot him.(With agency inputs)
