Narendra Modi reaches Delhi for NDC meet

Narendra Modi is expected to reach Delhi on Thursday for the first time after his victorious win in Gujarat to attend the National Development Council's (NDC) meet in the Capital.

Modi on Wednesday took oath as chief minister of Gujarat for the fourth time.


The NDC meet is scheduled for the approval of the 12th Five Year Plan. The Planning Commission is going to pitch for 8% growth rate instead of 8.2%.

The NDC meet will be presided over by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and will be attended by cabinet ministers and chief ministers of different states.

While Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalitha- who was also present at Narendra Modi's oath taking ceremony in Gujarat on Wednesday- and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar will be among those who attend the meet, Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee will be sitting this one out.
