Over 80% disagree with SC verdict on gay sex

The Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld a law banning same-gender sex. The lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community said they were now vulnerable to "discrimination and violence".

In a Hindustantimes.com poll conducted today, over 80% of the respondents answered in the negative, when asked whether they agree with the Supreme Court's order of criminalising homosexuality again.

A total no of 10,800 votes were received. Out of which 16% of voters agreed with the verdict and 82% of them disagreed.
