Anxious parents of engineering students missing in Himachal Pradesh gathered at VNR college near Hyderabad on Monday even as the management promised to take them in a special flight.

Relatives of some students sat on protest at the college premises at Bachupalli on the city outskirts, alleging negligence in providing them information.

The parents entered into heated arguments with the college officials, demanding immediate action to fly them to Himachal Pradesh.

A college official said a special flight would be arranged at noon with the help of the government. The flight may land at Dehra Dun. A college bus carrying a group of relatives of the missing students left for the Hyderabad airport.

According to a management representative, arrangements are being made to send first batch of 24 people.

Parents of the students from different parts of the state started rushing to the college since late Sunday night. The relatives of Rambabu, a student from Nalgonda district, staged a sit-in demanding information.
