The BJP on Tuesday removed ex-MLC and party spokesman, Ram Kishore Singh from his post and issued a showcause notice for his praise of chief minister, Nitish Kumar yesterday, even as party MP, Shatrughan Sinha asserted 'Nitish Kumar is prime minister material'.

Singh had yesterday met Kumar in his official chamber in the Bihar assembly and later told newspersons, that 'the BJP under Narendra Modi is not capable of reaching the magic mark of 273 seats to capture power at the centre".

Singh's and Sinha's statements come on the heels of expulsion of Amarnath Gami, MLA of Hayaghat and open rebellion by Rana Gangeshwar Singh.

While Ram Kishore Singh attested to the capability of Nitish Kumar as a " leader who carries all sections with him and is administratively adept", Shatrughan Sinha said, "Everybody is capable of being a PM. You are, I am, Nitish Kumar definitely is'.

While state BJP chief, Mangal Pandey issued a show cause notice to Singh and removed him from the post of spokesman, sources within the BJP said, "Sinha's observation is bound to be taken seriously and he might be served a showcause".

This is the second time in the last one week, that Sinha has fallen foul of the BJP.

The last time, Shotgun Shatru, as Sinha is popularly known had told mediapersons that the party should not be ignoring seniors such as as Ram Jethmalani, Sushma Swaraj, Yashwant Sinha and Arun Jaitley among others. He had said, "I am not interested in lolipops and not eager for any post. At a time when 99% people are ailing, by grace of god, I am fit and have everything".

Sinha had called on the chief minister, Nitish Kumar at his residence also, which he described as a courtesy visit to inquire after the latters health, since Kumar had inquired about him, when he himself was hospitalised.

Sinha had also said, "LK Advani was the tallest leader in the BJP and he should not be ignored", even as he had reiterated, that Advani was fit to lead the party since he was one person who had carried the BJP from 2 seats to 200 and had the power to bring in most parties as allies to bolster BJP's numbers to capture power at the centre.

Sinha's observations prasing Nitish has, however, proved to be like the red rag before the bull, leaving partmen seething.
