Photos of Vrindavan college girls posted with indecent comments on Facebook
In August 2016, photographs of about 60 girls of Vrindavan were morphed and posted on social media sites and WhatsApp groups. Two youths were arrested for forwarding these photos but the mastermind is yet to be nabbed.
A police complaint has been lodged after miscreants posted photographs of college girls of Vrindavan along with indecent comments on social media sites, including Facebook, police said.
An NGO, Kanak Dhara Foundation which works for women’s rights, lodged the complaint at the kotwali police station on Thursday.
“We raised the issue in the past also. The nuisance has resurfaced now. About 10 days ago, a few photos of college girls were posted on Facebook with indecent comments but no action was taken against them,” said Dr Laxmi Gautam, founder-convenor of Kanak Dhara Foundation.
Uday Veer Malik, officer in-charge of the kotwali police station, on Friday said a case was registered and police will take action.

State minister Rita Bahuguna Joshi called it a “shameful incident”, and said women’s dignity was a priority for the state government.
Another minister, Swati Singh, said the culprits would be dealt with strictly.
