Not only did he allegedly rape his five daughters, all married now, over several years, but he also forced himself on a three-year-old granddaughter.

At this point two of the 63-year-old’s daughters decided to complain against their father on Monday, and on the basis of their complaint the man, who is a retired government employee and has reportedly confessed to his crime, was arrested.

In the complaint, the victims detailed how their father, a resident of Bayana, Bharatpur, sexually exploited them for years and physically tortured them when they resisted.

Their mother always sided with her husband and used to pass it off as tradition, said a victim, adding that their plight started when they were teens and continued till they were married.

Two of them became pregnant by their father before marriage and had to undergo abortion.

“One of them was aborted 15 days before her marriage. The father-mother duo also projected them as characterless girls in society and their in-laws to conceal his misdeeds,” said Bharatpur superintendent of police Anshuman Bhomia.

Bhomia praised the victims’ husbands for supporting them in approaching the police, who have arrested the wife too.
