All is indeed not going well for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). During a recent roadshow in Dhanbad, the Arvind Kejriwal led AAP activists have been alleged of looting roadside hawkers and shopkeepers off eatables, cold drinks and other goods while parading through the streets of the coal capital.

It all happened when the AAP candidate of Dhanbad Lok Sabha constituency Ramakant Verma started his road show from Bank more area to Sindri through Lubi circular road, Randhir Verma Chauk, Nirsa and Baliapur areas. Shopkeepers and hawkers in the area have alleged that the AAP activists who paraded through the thoroughfare of the coal capital went on a rampage and picked up the summer drinks, packaged drinking water, and tobacco pouches from their shops without making any payment.

Ramesh Mandal, Dwarika Yadav and other shopkeepers expressed anxiety on the incident. “They (AAP activists) claims themselves to be honest and are doing such disgusting acts,” said Ramesh Mandal, one of the shopkeepers. It has been said that later when the shopkeepers demanded payment of the bottles and snacks from the AAP activists and leaders, they moved forward without paying any heed to their calls.

Speaking about the incident AAP candidate Verma later said, “Such incidents must be condemned and no one has the right to do so,” adding that he didn’t know about the incident.
