Revised fares of Kolkata Metro from Thursday

The revised fares of Kolkata Metro rail from the existing structure will come into effect from Thursday.

   
The number of zones have been increased from five to six for single journey, both for tokens and smart cards, an official statement said.
 
Fares for Zone I (upto five km) would be Rs. five, for Zone II (five to 10 km) would be Rs. 10, for Zone III (10 to 15 km) would be Rs. 15 and would remain same for Zone IV (15 to 20km), for Zone V (20 to 25 km) would be Rs. 20 and for Zone VI (25 to 30 km) would be Rs. 25, it said.
   
Bonus on smart cards has been reduced to 10% for every value, the statement added.
