School principal held for molesting teachers

A principal of a private school in Uttar Pradesh has been arrested for allegedly molesting two teachers of the same school, police said on Tuesday.


"P N Singh, principal of St. George School in Banda district, has been accused of molesting two teachers," police inspector Rameshwar Maurya told IANS over telephone.

"Acting on the complaint registered by the two at the Kotwali police station, we arrested Singh on Monday evening," he said.

According to police, after carrying out preliminary investigations, Singh has been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty).

Banda is about 200 km from Lucknow.
