Security tightened in Maharashtra after UP blasts

Security was beefed across Maharashtra following serial blasts in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, a top police official said.

Director General of Police PS Pasricha said the entire police force has been alerted following the blasts outside civil courts in Lucknow, Faizadbad and Varanasi in which at least four persons were killed.

Asked if any extra security would be placed at courts in the state, Pasricha denied of any specific instructions issued regarding security of court buildings as yet.
