Shimla gets first multiplex

Transport minister GS Bali on Friday inaugurated the first-ever multiplex that has two screens and a capacity of 374 seats in Shimla.

Located at the new Inter State Bus Terminus (ISBT), Tutikandi, this is SRS Group's 13th multiplex in north India. The multiplex is spread across 11,000 sq ft.

Anil Jindal, chairman and managing director, SRS Ltd, said, "We are reinforcing our presence in north India with the expansion of our cinema business. We are confident that our new multiplex will receive a warm welcome from the city audience."

Tinku Singh, group president, SRS Group, said, "Our country has an insatiable appetite for cinema. Bollywood is no less in enticing people when compared to cricket."
