“Happy to announce that from 15th August, cars and small vehicles will be exempt from paying toll tax in Gujarat,” Chief minister Anandiben Patel tweeted.
In its annual budget for 2016-17, the Gujarat government had proposed an increase in taxes to the tune of Rs 195 crores, while it offered tax relief of Rs 251 crores, taking the overall estimated surplus to Rs 189 crores for FY’17.
