As many as nine leaders from UP were appointed including three vice-presidents,  one general secretary, three secretaries and two spokespersons. Although UP goes to polls in 2017, Shah has begun to put his plans in place to storm the crucial state in the assembly polls.

Maharashtra was represented by one vice-president and two secretaries as well as the head of Mahila Morcha. Kerala and North East got a miss in terms of regional representation with the exception of Roman Deka from Assam as secretary. Delhi has got significant representation in the form of five office-bearers.

BS Yeddyurappa's induction as vice president was a bid to consolidate the grip over politically influential Lingayat community in Karnataka.  The team of office bearers has five OBCs and minorities each, three SCs, one ST and nine women. Shah also appointed Nand Kumar Singh Chauhan (Madhya Pradesh), Dharmpal Kaushik (Chhattisgarh), Tamilisai Soundararajan (Tamil Nadu) and Siddharth Bhattacharya (Assam) as presidents of the state units.
