Addressing a party workers' meeting on Thursday, Saifuddin Soz, MP, former union minister and J&K Pradesh Congress Party president said the old associates and functionaries who are in the party and a new group of political leaders, who have joined now, will have the role in the party. "We have adopted a motto for the party and that is service to the people," he said.

Soz said politics is enjoyed better by the leaders while adopting concern for the people as their goal. He condemned the recent statement of BJP leader LK Advani, in which he said Article 370 of the Constitution of India should be revoked.

Soz asserted that no authority in the India, not even Parliament, can abrogate Article 370 as it's the integral part of the Constitution of India. He explained further that BJP leaders always talk about revocation of Article 370 on the eve of elections. Soz wondered that why the BJP did not raise this issue when they were in power at the Centre for six years?

Ghulam Nabi Monga, Mir Mushtaq, Aftab Ahmad Beigh, Shoiab Nabi Lone and all other leaders who joined party on the occasion resolved that they would work to strengthen the Congress.
