Stalked for 2 months Class 9 girl kills self

A class 9th student, who was allegedly being stalked by two youths, ended her life by consuming poisonous substance in Hisar. The police have arrested the duo and have been booked for abetment to suicide.

The girl was being stalked for more than two months. The girl's family had complained to accused persons family around 20 days ago. But they continued with stalking and threatening her, the deceased girl's brother has told police. The victim's family had not approached the police in this case.

The incident came to light on Sunday, when parents of the girl found her in unconscious state at their house in Badwali Dhani area of Hisar city. She was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital, where she died on Sunday.

Later, medical reports confirmed that she had taken a poisonous substance.

The police said, the girl’s family has alleged that two youths, from a nearby village used to stalk the girl on her way to school everyday.

“Accused boy’s families were also informed about their behavior sometimes ago. But they did not stopped stalking her,” Girl’s brother, Pritam has told police.

Fed up with the matter, the girl on Sunday consumed a poisonous substance. 

The police said, both the accused have been arrested and further investigations into the case are being carried out.
