Attendance was thin at government offices and work remained affected at some private offices also. Though auto-rickshaws were seen plying in the morning, Roadways buses remained off the road. Protest rallies were carried out at different places in Faridabad and Palwal districts

In the early hours, a group of protesters pelted stones at a Roadways bus in Ballabgarh. Employees of the Municipal Corporation of Faridabad carried out a protest rally. “The strike passed off peacefully,” said Faridabad Police Commissioner AS Chawla.
