External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj is undergoing treatment for a kidney-related ailment and is likely to remain at AIIMS hospital for a few days.
“Her condition is stable. Her history of chronic diabetes has affected her kidney functioning. She is on dialysis,” sources at AIIMS said.
The minister was admitted at AIIMS on November 7 at the cardio-neuro centre under the supervision of Balram Airan, chief of the Cardio Thoracic Centre. A team of doctors are monitoring her.
Swaraj has been suffering from diabetes for almost 20 years now.
Earlier in April, the 64-year-old BJP leader suffered from pneumonia and other health issues.
