Tech student ‘ragged’

An engineering student of a private university was allegedly ragged by one of his seniors on Monday.

Deeraj Sangwan, a first-year student of civil engineering at Manav Rachana International University, lodged a complaint with Surajkund police station on Tuesday alleging that one of his seniors, Abilap Bamal of Hisar district, thrashed him on Monday when he was on way to the college.

University director M K Soni denied the ragging charge.
