Ten injured in Amethi clash

Ten persons were injured when two groups clashed with each other over a land dispute in Topkhana area of the district, police said in Amethi on Wednesday.

Mohd Rasheed Khand and Harishanker Jaiswal along with their supporters clashed last night following a dispute over a piece of land late last night. The two groups indulged in brick batting and torched a house, they said.

Police said that 10 persons were injured in the clash after which heavy force had been deployed in the area.

Superintendent of Police Vijay Singh Meena said the situation was under control.
