Thane: 3 schoolkids found dead near river

Three school children, who had gone missing on Monday, were found dead near a river shore in Virar, Thane, on Wednesday morning.


The three teenage boys, who studied in an international school in Virar, were found by a local resident, following which the Virar police was informed.

Their bodies were found near Sakwar village, the police said.

The police have contacted the families of the children for further investigation. The police are also inquiring with the school to gather clues about their whereabouts after they had gone missing on Monday.

The bodies have been rushed to a governement hospital for autopsy.
