Three arrested for rape in Khatavali village

Three youths have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the abduction, molestation and rape of a 17-year-old Dalit girl from Khatavali village.


The arrested were identified as Hari Om, Rajbir, both residents of Dhakia village and Jai Vir of a surrounding village of the Pataudi area of Gurgaon district, police said on Saturday.

Two bikes were also seized from them which were used in the crime.

However, their fourth accomplice- Kuldeep of Dhakia village was still at large.

The three youths were today produced in a local court which remanded them in judicial custody.

A 17-year-old Dalit girl has alleged that she was abducted and raped by four youths in the district's Khatawali village.

The victim alleged that she was kidnapped by two youths on July 17 while she was asleep on the roof of a house.

She was then taken to an isolated place where the duo was joined by two other youths.

The girl was allegedly raped by Hari Om, one of the four youths while the rest of the accused molested her.
