Three killed, five injured as car overturns in TN

Three persons were killed and five injured when the car in which they were travelling hit a roadside median and overturned near Namakkal, in Tamil Nadu, on Monday, police said.

The injured, including a 11-year-old girl, have been admitted to a hospital at Salem.

Superintendent of Police S Kannamma said the driver, who was among the deceased, is suspected have fallen asleep and the car veered off course.

They were returning from Palani temple when the mishap occurred.
