Three militants killed as army foils infiltration bid in Gurez

The infiltration bid comes at a time of increased cross-border hostility between India and Pakistan marked by shelling.
Three militants were killed as Army foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday .
“Infiltration bid eliminated in Gurez Sector this morning. Two terrorists killed,” an official army handle tweeted.

Minutes later, another militant was gunned down. The operation is in progress and further details are awaited.
In June, five militants were killed in north Kashmir’s Uri sector while trying to enter the Valley.
