TMC workers chop off  man’s ear

Striking work these days is perilous in West Bengal, once a haven of strikers. Ignoring chief minister Mamata Banerjee’s diktat to work through the countrywide trade union strike, a man who dared to skip office had an ear chopped off – allegedly by goons of Trinamool Congress.

Debipur gram panchayat executive assistant, Hazrat Omar, 58, lost his left ear in an attack on Thursday morning.
