Uttar Pradesh chief miniser Akhilesh Yadav in an interview to Hindustan Times says that he has intelligence information that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) top leadership has instructed the cadre in Uttar Pradesh to look out for chances to create trouble wherever there is involvement of any two communities and not a miss a chance. Akhilesh Yadav says: “I see a pattern and plan in the way BJP was fanning communal fire and issues in the state. It began with Chaurasi Kosi Yatra in Ayodhya, then Muzaffarnagar, Moradabad, Saharanpur, Meerut, Faizabad, or Mainpuri. And now they have come up this ‘love jihad’.” They are doing similar things in West Bengal against Mamata government. What about ‘love jihad’ allegation on your party and government?
This is their absurdity at its best. All gurus, all spiritual leaders, all religion talk about love, preach love. Love has no boundaries. In fact, love dissolves boundaries. They want to restrict love, ban it. How’s that possible. For their political interest, they are stooping to extreme levels. Their design are dangerous for the country and society, they would create a chasm. But they have outsmarted you and badly defeated all in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Isn’t BJP turning 2017 ( UP Assembly elections) a losing battle for Samajwadi Party?
No, it is turning out to be a losing battle for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Despite winning 2014 Lok Sabha elections, they have lost elections in Uttarakhand and Bihar. This is happening so rapid. Within three month’s of governance that has failed so far, BJP has begun losing elections. Modi-ji’s wave has lost its steam. There has been all talks, no action of the tall promises they made using publicity machineries. SP would bounce back emphatically in 2017. Do you mean to say, they would lose in the forthcoming UP bypolls as well? Isn’t your 2017 optimism unreal when you have lost so badly in 2014?
They will have losses here as well. UP’s politics is much different than Uttarakhand or Bihar. It may spring surprise. The contest is between SP and BJP. So far as 2017 is concerned, we will have a lot to show and prove to people. Most of works were taking shape in 2014 or were at plan stage. By 2016 they all will be complete. By 2016 villages will get 18 hours powers, while cities would get even more. We have given 13 lakh new power connections, and by 2016 the new connections would go up to 30 lakh. Our power improvement works are going on track. There is no state government ever which has installed so many sub stations in a state, we have built 2,000 rural roads and by 2016 the number would swell to 4,000. We will have work to show, their report card would read ‘loudspeakers issues’, ‘love jihad’, communal fire. And mind you even in 2014 they did not have incumbency factor, our vote share was intact. It was a shift of votes on communal edge that favoured them. But they have 73 MPs?
What utility people have of these 73 MPs. If people voted them in such large numbers, don’t they have responsibility and accountability to people. What responsibities have they fulfilled so far. What difference have they made to lives of people? It is we who are doers. They are destructive. Instead of doing anything constructive, they are making people fight each other, spreading hate. People are getting disillusioned with them so fast. It is amusing that first they ruin atmosphere, then they are the ones who agitate, and then demand dismissal of our government. They had promised progressive agenda like surpassing even US in technology, while their acts are regressive. Are they going to make India beat US but issues like “loudspeakers”, “rapes that are not rapes”, or “love jihad”. Will ousted Amar Singh come back to the party fold? What role he has now? Would SP pact with other parties like Lalu and Nitish did in Bihar?
These are the kind of issues that Netaji address. Talk to him.
