The Trinamool Congress on Thursday accused the Centre of "stoking trouble" in West Bengal by talking to leaders of the Gorkhaland movement and claimed the state government had been bypassed in the dialogue.

Leaders of the Gorkhaland movement want a state to be created out of West Bengal's Darjeeling district and the adjoining Dooars area under Jalpaiguri district.

A three-day bandh called by Gorkha Janamukti Morcha (GJM) in support of Gorkhaland ended on Wednesday but the party has threatened to launch an indefinite strike.
Gorkhaland leaders refreshed their demand after the Congress-lead United Progressive Alliance accepted the demand for a separate state of Telangana but West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee had on Wednesday rejected "slicing up" of her state.
