A 20-year-old woman has accused two Bulandshahr district constables for raping her at gunpoint at their rented accommodation on Saturday night.
The victim is a neighbour of the cops and was on her way to a bathroom, located outside her house when she was accosted by the police constables. They pointed their gun at her and forced her to accompany them to their residence.
After raping her, they threatened her with dire consequences if she said anything to anybody. The traumatised victim narrated the incident to her family who then reported the matter to the police.
A complaint has been lodged against the two constables, Manish Kumar in crime branch and Amit in accounts department, and their accomplice Parveen at Kotwali Nagar police station.
The two policemen are yet to be arrested but they are being kept under watch at the police station.
"An FIR has been lodged under section 376 (g) against the suspects. We are questioning them and examining the charges against them. Stringent action will be taken if they are found guilty," said Bulandshahr assistant superintendent of police Ajay Sahni.
The woman has been sent for a medical examination.
