Days after the Baduan gang-rape and murder, two sisters were gang-raped by three men in a village in Uttar Pradesh's Etah district, police said on Friday.

Police have arrested all three accused and registered a case under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code and relevant provision of POCSO (Prevention of Child From Sexual Offences) as both victim are minors.

"All three accused namely Mahipal, Rajpal and Sanjay have been arrested on Thursday. Both of the victim girls are minor and were sent for medical examination. Case has been registered under relevant provision of law and force has been deployed in village Manupur as precaution," inspector general of police, Ashutosh Pandey, told HT on Friday.

Force has been deployed in village Manupur of Etah district in Aligarh Range.
The sisters, who are 15- and 13-years-old, belong to Manupur village under Baghwala police station of Etah district and were going to a flour mill in the nearby village Siapur on Thursday afternoon.

They were attacked on the stretch which remains desolate even during the day.
The three men - Mahipal and Rajpal from Siapur and Sanjay Kumar from village Singhpur - caught hold of the younger sister and tried to drag her to a field. When the elder sister resisted, she too was dragged and both sisters were gang-raped by the men.
The girls narrated the ordeal to their parents when they reached home.

The father and the brother of girls lodged a complaint at the Baghwala police station.

Additional superintendent of police Sanjay Yadav said the police arrested the three men within an hour the complaint was lodged by the girls' family.
Etah's senior superintendent of police Amit Pathak was transferred on Thursday night and will be replaced by Ajay Kumar Sharma.
