Valuables, pet dog stolen in six separate cases

Thieves struck at five different areas in the city and a Labrador dog was stolen from Civil Lines on Monday.


Unidentified persons ransacked two houses in Cyber City and decamped with jewellery. In another incident, Sector 23 resident Rohit Kishore Chopra said his bag containing a laptop, iPod and cheque book was stolen from Sadar Bazar on Monday.

In another case, Pushplata, a resident of Hewo Apartment, told the police that when she was buying vegetables on the Gurdwara Road, a robber stole her bag containing R50,000.

In Palam Vihar, BK Gupta said robbers decamped with jewellery worth R2.5lakh, besides R83,000 from his house.

Sector 9 resident Mukesh Kumar said robbers stole jewellery and cash from his house.

In the fifth case, MK Lodha, manager of a Haldiram store in Kherki Daula, said unidentified persons stole R4.20 lakh from the store. Roop Hooda, resident of Officer Colony, said her Labrador was stolen from Civil Lines.
