Villagers set afire the house of rapist in Sultanpur

The irate villagers set afire the house of rapist in Kudwar village in Sultanpur district on Sunday.  Later the police nabbed the rapist and sent him to jail.
A police officer said the teenage girl was alone in the house when Raja Ram Kori rsident of same village entered in the house  he overpowered the girl and committed rape. He threatened the girl with dire consequences if she informed her parent about the incident. When the girl refused to obey the order Raja Ram he beat her up. The girl raised an alarm and the villagers gathered outside the house.
The villagers caught hold of Raja Ram and after beating him up they handed him to the cops. Soon a group of villagers tried to set the house of Raja Ram and his associates afire.  Fearing that they would be killed the occupants fled from the house.  The police force rushed to the village and doused water on fire spread on the roof of the hutments.
SP, Soumitra Yadav said the medical examination of the victim was done by a panel of doctors in district hospital. FIR was lodged against Raja Ram Kori. Police force has been deployed in the village to maintain law and order, he said.
