Two persons were killed in Jhargram by Maoists on the suspicion that they were spying on them, police said on Saturday.
The two men were called out of their homes at Jitusole village and gunned down outside by the Maoists on Friday night, the police said.

Maoists said the two were given the 'death sentence' for acting as agents of a local sponge iron factory owner and spying on them.
The Maoists are against the sponge iron factory at Jitusole, which they say is polluting the atmosphere in the area.
