Muslim League MP Abdul Wahab, who is in the eye of a storm over his reported remark against an Air India pilot, says he does not intend to apologise to the agitating pilots and is determined to go ahead with his plan to move a privilege motion against the pilot.

Terming pilot Rajat Rana’s claim a “studded lie” the MP said he had never entered the cockpit to argue with him.
“Different channels competed among themselves to portray me a villain,” he told Hindustan Times.  A frequent flier, he said, he never had such a bitter experience before. “I haven’t done anything wrong. I intervened only when the airport manager was humiliated in front of me. After my wife and I sat in our seats, there was the captain’s announcement that he wouldn’t fly until the ‘troublesome passenger’ was offloaded. We immediately got down to avoid inconvenience to other passengers. The flight was delayed for another 15 minutes to retrieve my luggage,” he explained.

“I was at the airport by 7. 55 am for the flight, which was scheduled to leave Kozhikode at 8:55 am...,” he added.
“The pilot was very rude. He told me I could run the country, not the aircraft. That angered me,” he explained.
