A 30-year-old woman was allegedly kept in confinement inside a hostel room in Dadabari area of the city by two men who raped and assaulted her for three days, police said on Tuesday.
The accused have been identified as Chakshu Goyal and Sunil Sharma, both residents of Kota city. While Sharma has been arrested, Goel is still absconding, police said.
The woman has alleged that Goyal, who has earlier worked with her in a hostel in Kota, took her with him on December 1 assuring her a job as hostel warden in Sharma’s hostel on Modi College road, a police official said.
The two held her hostage in a room of the hostel and took turns to rape her for three days from December 1 to 3, said Ram Kishan, Circle in charge (CI) of Dadabari police station.
The two accused on December 4 dropped the woman in an isolated area of the city, he said.
The two also thrashed her when she tried to escape from the room, according to the complaint lodged on Sunday.
Following the investigation and medical examination of the victim on Monday, Sharma was arrested from his hostel in the evening, while Goyal is absconding, Kishan said.
