Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Sangam Vihar, Dinesh Mohnia was slapped by a woman on Sunday on the issue of not getting water in their locality for the past 10-15 days.

The woman alleged that the MLA hasn’t done anything to resolve the problem of water  shortage in their locality.

Mohnia, however, told a news channel that this was a conspiracy hatched by the Bharatiya Janata Party. (BJP) “I can show you the video which shows that they were all BJP workers and just two women. The people in Sangam Vihar are very happy with our work and we are trying our best to solve the problem of water here,” said Mohnia.

“It is not that people in Sangam Vihar are angry with us. We are engaging with the people and have done good work since we’ve have come to power. The situation is much better now than what it was during the rule of the previous government,” he added.

Both the parties have lodged a complaint at Sangam Vihar Police Station.

“We have received complaints from the woman and the MLA. Allegations are being verified and further action will be taken as per law,” said an official at Sangam Vihar Police Station.
