The camaraderie between Indian and West Indies cricketers is widely known. Whenever the Indian team is in the Caribbean for bilateral tours, some or the other West Indies cricketers invite them to their place.

Recently, senior Indian cricketers like MS Dhoni, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane visited Dwayne Bravo’s home for dinner, post their second ODI against the West Indies.

The Indian cricket team’s Caribbean sojourn of 2017 includes five ODIs and one-off T20 International, to be played from June 23 to July 9. The Indian team had toured West Indies in 2016 as well as that series comprised of a four-Test affair, before the two teams flew over to the USA for a two-match T20I series.

Bravo, who has been away from the West Indies team for close to a year now, was happy to host his ‘brother from another mother’ Dhoni, wife Sakshi among other Indian cricketers.

While Bravo made an Instagram post with his mother and Dhoni holding his daughter Ziva, Sakshi caught up with two of the youngest boys at the Hyatt Regency in Trinidad.

Last year, when the Indian cricket team went to the Caribbean, Kohli met the legendary Sir Vivian Richards ahead of the first Test at the stadium named after him in Antigua. An inspired Kohli had scored his first Test double hundred on that tour, at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound.

Kohli was also lucky enough to meet one of the greatest all-rounders, Sir Garry Sobers.

The Indian cricket team is currently enjoying a short break, having finished their rain-truncated second ODI against West Indies with a massive 105-run victory. The third ODI will be played at Antigua on Friday.
