Watch the works of 100 artists - that too under one roof - as the Millennium City hosts the much-awaited art extravaganza Art Mart III this weekend. Over 1,000 artworks have been put on display.
The three-day expo opened at Epicentre, Apparel House, on Friday. The event has been organised by Old World Hospitality Private Limited.
Anil Dayanand, an artist, said, "The three-day art exhibition promises to be a meeting ground for both art connoisseurs and amateurs. The event has provided an opportunity to independent artists to showcase their talent." He added, "I participated in the exhibition mainly to interact with people."
Manoj Tyagi, a visitor, said, "Such exhibitions offer a gamut of related activities like discussions, workshops, art appreciation courses, painting and portrait painting competitions for art lovers, which is not regular in this city of malls. We can even purchase our favourite pieces."
Spokesperson of the organisers said, "With reinvent, reuse and recreate as the central theme, Art Mart III focuses on art 'out of waste'. Many artefacts made out of waste materials have been put on display. These art pieces are unique and have been aesthetically designed out of materials that would have landed in the garbage bin, thereby highlighting and how such products can be recycled and reused."
