One person was killed in a powerful bomb blast at Donganraji in central Assam's Dima Hasao district early this morning, police sources said.

The improvised explosive devise (IED) went off at 1 am in the Umrangso market area under Umrangso police station killing the person, the sources said.

Police recovered the the body parts of the unidentified man scattered in the area.
Police suspected the dead man to be a militant who had come to plant the bomb for explosion in the daytime on Tuesday but the IED got triggered earlier.
Investigations are on.
