With one more youth succumbing to swine flu in Pune, the death toll due to the disease has reached 11 since April in 2012, health officials said on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old youth, admitted on August 17, died at a city hospital on Tuesday after testing positive for H1N1 virus, taking the total swine flu casualties this month to four in Pune.
Seven more persons also tested positive for swine flu on Tuesday and were undergoing treatment in various hospitals, officials said.
Three swine flu deaths have been reported from the city in the last couple days.
While stating that the situation was not alarming, the civic health authorities have, however, appealed to the people to get their tests done if flu-like symptoms persisted for long.
