This real life Munnabhai script had a different ending than its film counterpart. Ten student impersonators for engineering entrance examination candidates at the Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar University were rounded them up from various centres and put in police lockup on Monday.

Most candidates are from Bijnor. The impersonators are from different cities including Buxar, Bareilly, Kanpur, Varanasi and Roorkee. Police said each was paid advance of Rs 5,000 from a total Rs 10,000 they were to receive for writing the entrance exams.

Student leaders learnt about the racket and informed the police who raided the centres and caught the impersonators. Police said the racket spread across even outside the state.
