Ten people, including three Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers and a local cop, were wounded in a grenade explosion here on Saturday evening.

Police said separatist guerrillas tossed a powerful hand grenade at a team of the CRPF personnel near Habak, 10 km from the city's Lal Chowk area, on the Srinagar-Kargil highway in the evening.

"Ten people, including three CRPF troopers, one policeman and six pedestrians, were wounded in the blast. All the injured were evacuated to the local Soura Medical Institute," a senior police officer here said.

The CRPF and local police surrounded the area and launched searches. No one was arrested so far.
