100 kgs of Mandrex tablets seized in Mumbai

Police arrest Mohammad Gulam Sheikh (50) on on the charges of possession of tablets of Mandrex drug, reports Megha Sood .

The Shivaji Nagar police arrested Mohammad Gulam Sheikh (50) on Saturday morning on the charges of possession of tablets of Mandrex drug.    

According to SD Nimhan, Senior police inspector of Shivaji Nagar police station, they had received information that in an apartment in the Mandala area near the Madina Masjid around 100 kgs of Mandrex tablets have been buried inside the ground. Acting on the information the police raided the house and on digging the floor of the house they found the Mandrex tablets buried underneath.

'We have arrested Sheikh on the charges of possession of drugs but we have not found out still from where did he get the drugs or whether he was a seller as well or that he had only hidden the stock, said Nimhan.
