Thirteen candidates filed their papers on Wednesday on the third day of nominations in Bihar for the first phase of polls to 13 Lok Sabha seats on April 16 taking the total to 30.
Prominent among those who filed their papers were Mahabali Singh of JD(U) for Karakat Lok Sabha constituency, whereas Mohammed Samiullah Mansuri filed his papers as an Independent candidate for the same seat, media-incharge of state electoral office, L K Jha, said.
Amarnath Yadav submitted his papers for Siwan constituency while Muneshwar Prasad filed his documents as independent for the same seat, Jha said. Satyendra Kumar Sahni filed his papers as a CPI-ML candidate, from Maharajganj, whereas CPI candidate Sudama Prasad and Sunil Kumar Dubey, independent, submitted their documents for Buxar seat.
Dukhi Ram and Niranjan Kumar, both CPI-ML’s candidate, filed their papers for Sasaram and Gaya respectively, besides Gajadhar Rajak of CPI who filed his papers for Jamui seat. Two independents from Jehanabad and one from Nawada also filed their papers.
